Commission Structure

Commission is collected as follows:

Single Games

Match

  Additional commission of 0.25% for each additional point above one in the overall match.  CAP will limit this amount.  

Exceptions to the standard commission for cash games (single and match):

  • A maximum $5 commission (CAP) per player when rating of both players is over 1650.
  • Decrease of 50% in commissions if the rating of both players is over 1700.
  • Increase of 50% in commissions when the rating difference is 100 to 199.
  • Double commission when the rating difference is 200 or more
  • (Two and one half) commission when the rating difference is 250 or more.
  • Triple  commission when the rating difference is 300 or more.

There will be occasions when the calculation of the rake will be based on a combination of two or more exceptions.

Combined wager in single games = both players' initial stake multiplied by cube at the end of the game (the pot).

Combined wager in match = both players’ initial stake (the pot).

Gammon multiplies the combined wager by two / Backgammon multiplies the combined wager by three (exceptions: Jacoby Rule in single games and limits set by players upon game creation.)

All transactions, including the commission/rake, are in USD.
